I just want to share a project that I'm working on.  I'm making some Halloween lanterns. They are made from a fence picket, and I used a scroll saw to cut out the face. Im using a controller and addressable LED's. I'm using WLED, so there are a lot of effects that i can use.

 

They are pretty easy  to make, it might be a good project for beginners. You could get some stencils for Christmas and have a class on making lanterns if you want. Some cheap ED  strips would be great for them. 

 

My controller has 4 data outputs so im hoping to make 3 more lanterns before Halloween, but we will see how it goes.
